We at Striyd respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Policy. This Policy applies only to information we collect on the App or in electronic communications related to the App. It DOES NOT apply to information collected offline or by third parties (see Section 4). Your continued use of the App means you accept any changes to this Policy.

  • Identity & KYC: Full name, date of birth, address, email, telephone number, Bank Verification Number (BVN).
  • Financial Info: Bank account details (for transfers), transaction details initiated via the App, and investment goals.
  • Correspondence: Records of your emails and responses to customer service inquiries.

2.2 Automatic Information Collection:

When you access or use the App, technology may automatically collect non-identifying information:

  • Usage Details: Traffic data, logs, and resources accessed (to measure popularity and system integrity).
  • Device Information: Device’s unique ID, IP address, operating system, and browser type.
  • Location Information: Coarse real-time information about your device’s location, used for security checks and regional service optimization.
  • Tracking Technologies: We use cookies and web beacons to improve site functionality and provide customized experiences.

3. How Your Information is Used

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve the Striyd investment service:

  • Service Provision: To execute your behavioral investment rules (e.g., Round-Ups), manage your investment goals, and process withdrawals.
  • Regulatory Compliance: To comply with CBN and AML requirements, including KYC verification using your BVN.
  • Fraud Prevention: To investigate and mitigate fraud, security breaches, and potentially prohibited activities.
  • App Improvement: To analyze user behavior, fix bugs, and personalize the app interface.

4. Disclosure to Third Parties

We do not sell your Personal Information. We only disclose information in these limited circumstances:

  • Financial Partners: To our Licensed Financial Partner for secure fund holding and to our payment processors for executing transactions.
  • Data Aggregators: To secured third parties (Open Banking APIs) to establish a read-only link for transaction monitoring.
  • Analytics Providers: To analytics companies (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase) to collect aggregated data for service improvement.
  • Legal Requirement: To regulators or law enforcement when required by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

5. Your Choices and Rights

You maintain control over your personal data. You can manage:

  • Access and Correction: You can review and change your Personal Information by logging into your account profile page.
  • Tracking Technologies: You can set your device to refuse or alert you about cookies, though this may impact app functionality.
  • Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and Personal Information. Note that we may be required to retain some data due to regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., tax and AML laws).

6. Data Security and Retention

We employ reasonable physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards to protect your information against unauthorized access or disclosure. We keep your Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy, or as required by Nigerian law.
